The King Edward’s Consortium is a well-established group of 20 excellent – and very varied – schools in the Birmingham area. The mixture of comprehensive, selective, mixed, single-sex, 11-16 and 11-18 schools in the partnership is a key strength.
We are rated number one of all School-Centred Initial Teacher Training providers in the country in The Good Teacher Training Guide 2017. We are also praised for being a ‘stand out performer’ in this and previous Good Teacher Training Guides.
This is because our trainees are exceptionally well-qualified and because we have a 100% employment rate. In addition, new teachers who have trained with us rate their training very positively in the annual National College for Teaching & Leadership survey.
