Job Description
The King Edward VI Foundation, Birmingham, is a progressive charitable organisation which has supported excellence in education across the City since 1552. Our schools are diverse in nature but have a common purpose and commitment to achieving our mission of “making Birmingham the best place to be educated in the UK”. Our Academy Trust currently consists of two independent schools, six selective, and six non-selective academies.
The King Edward VI Academy Trust Birmingham (“the Academy Trust”) was established in 2017 and is made up of the academies outlined above. The academies receive back office central support services including Finance, from the Foundation Office (a central support services function), with several staff being seconded from the Foundation to deliver support services to the Academy Trust and the academies themselves.
We are now looking to appoint a Compliance Administrator, to support the Risk and Policy Manager in providing dedicated support to the schools within the Academy Trust as well the Foundation. The post holder will support the Risk and Policy Manager to ensure a high level of compliance with legislation and regulatory frameworks through a comprehensive approach to risk assurance, including maintaining an up-to-date suite of policies and insurance provision. The post holder will be capable of working analytically and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
There are significant opportunities for personal development in this changing role and changing environment. The Compliance Administrator will need to be ready for this challenge and have a flexible and open mind, working in the knowledge that, as the MAT grows, future changes and challenges will arise in continuing to enable the academies to help educate the children of Birmingham.
The closing date on this position is fluid and we reserve the right to close the vacancy prior to the closing date if the correct candidate is found. On that basis, please apply as soon as possible.
