Celebrating Three Successful Years of our Primary Partnerships

The King Edward VI Foundation is proud to celebrate a successful three years of our Primary Partnership Programme with Hillstone Primary School, Green Meadow Primary School and Grestone Academy.

Over the past three years, pupils have taken part in a wide range of enriching activities designed to build confidence, spark curiosity and support their transition to secondary school. From engaging masterclasses and hands-on learning experiences to strategic partnership activities, the programme has provided valuable opportunities for pupils to explore new ideas, develop skills and experience life beyond the primary school.

Together with these primary schools, we have delivered more than 100 partnership experiences, including 32 masterclasses and 20 strategic partner activities.

The impact of the programme has been clear to see, with a large majority of Year 5 pupils stating the partnerships have helped them feel prepared for secondary school, demonstrating the positive difference these experiences have made in supporting young people at an important stage of their educational journey.

We would like to thank the staff, pupils and colleagues who have contributed to making this partnership such a success. Their enthusiasm, commitment and collaboration have helped create memorable experiences that will have a lasting impact on the children involved.

Beyond the numbers, it has been inspiring to watch pupils grow in confidence, ask thoughtful questions, embrace new challenges and begin to see the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
