Here at Camp Hill we really pride ourselves in being able to offer an academically rich experience in a really supportive community.
Throughout your two years with us in the Sixth Form we try to support you in a whole host of different ways. You will gain that valuable academic support from your teachers and subject leaders, plus you will also have access and daily contact with your form tutor. Daily contact means that you can discuss pastoral and academic matters with them and gain that support as required.

We presently have about 280 students in the Sixth Form with about one third of those, joining us from other schools. We also welcome female students and approximately one quarter of the sixth form are female; we welcome applications from pupils presently at other schools.
We have a strong academic tradition in the Sixth Form, and our curriculum and ethos is unashamedly that of a grammar school. We make no apologies for insisting on the highest standards of dress, punctuality, attendance and behaviour, as we believe that this sets us apart from many other post- 16 providers.

Our Sixth Form offers a range of academic and vocational courses for girls aged 16 – 18. Our Sixth Form is popular with both internal students and attracts external candidates from across Birmingham and the Black Country.
Whilst students are studying with us, we will aim to provide a broad balance of challenging and successful experiences which will prepare them well for their next steps – be it Higher Education, training or employment. We will also develop students as individuals, nurture their self-confidence and support them with becoming independent learners.

The Sixth Form at King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls is a co-educational facility for 16-19 year olds. We are very proud of our Sixth Form, not just because of the excellent results that students achieve, but also because of the community that exists within the sixth form.
The Sixth Form is housed in a newly built specialist sixth form centre. This provides an environment that is very different from conventional school. Students have their own cafeteria, social space and work areas. This helps students to develop the work ethos required for university or further study, whilst still in a supportive environment. Students are not required to wear conventional school uniform, again this helps them to develop their independence.
