It’s National Apprenticeships Week from 7-13th February and this year's theme 'build the future'; serves to remind us of the important of taking care of our own CPD and development so that we can make progress towards building a career that we can be proud of, and that prepares us for the future.

Apprenticeships can be offered to staff of any age and provide an opportunity for staff to gain a fully funded qualification from GCSE up to Masters Level, whilst undertaking study at work. Apprenticeships can provide essential CPD for existing staff who have training needs in their current role, or for those staff who are looking to progress. They also provide opportunities for schools to recruit new staff who want to complete on-the-job training whilst developing in a specific profession.
We would like to encourage all staff to get in touch and find out more about the apprenticeship programmes that are available in the Foundation. To assist this process, we have created an Apprenticeship Hub where you can find information on what an apprenticeship is, how apprenticeships work and details of the programmes on offer. If you have any queries about any of these programmes, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Ali Bretherton, Head of Organisational Development at: [email protected].
In addition, Ali will be running some workshops online via Teams during National Apprenticeships Week, where you can come along either as a staff member or as a Line Manager to find out more about apprenticeships and their benefits. If you are interested in attending, please contact Ali directly to book on one of these workshops.
We look forward to seeing you there!
