Since Microsoft has been selected as the organisation's single central enterprise platform, work has begun to create the Foundation's Digital Education Strategy.
Earlier this year, the Digital and Technology and Education departments, were joined by Nick Frost (King Edward VI Camp Hill Schools) and Kam Lally (King Edward VI Aston School) in a workshop focussed on envisioning the potential of teaching and learning enriched with Microsoft technologies.
Key strands and relevant tools were explored, such as:
- Improving Feedback
- Supporting EAL learners
- Monitoring and Supporting Well-being
- Developing Reading
- Engaging Parents
- Support Decision Making
- Enhancing Assessment
- Automating Processes
A second workshop was held where the same group met with the view to begin developing a digital education strategy.
Reflecting on the previous workshop, the aim of this session was to review the group’s plans for teaching and learning, collaboration and productivity whilst identifying how technology can support with these aims and address current challenges.
The Director of Education and Associate Director of Digital Transformation are drafting the Digital Education Strategy based on discussions arising from these workshops and are sharing it with Heads for feedback.
