There is much to celebrate across the King Edward VI Foundation as two of our schools have recently received outstanding recognition from Ofsted, highlighting the exceptional education, care and opportunities they provide for young people.
At King Edward VI Aston School, inspectors judged all seven assessed areas to be Strong, with safeguarding also confirmed as effective. The report praised the school’s ambitious curriculum, high academic standards, inclusive culture and extensive enrichment opportunities. Inspectors highlighted the quality of students’ work, excellent attendance and behaviour, and the strong relationships between staff and pupils that help young people thrive both academically and personally. Governor Nargis marked the occasion by baking a wonderful cake for staff as a heartfelt thank you for their hard work and commitment. The thoughtful act was warmly received and reflected the strong sense of community that underpins the school.
Meanwhile, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls achieved an exceptional set of outcomes under Ofsted’s inspection framework, receiving Exceptional judgements in five areas, including Achievement, Inclusion, Leadership and Governance, Personal Development and Wellbeing, and Post-16 Provision. Inspectors commended the school’s “culture of excellence”, recognising the remarkable progress students make, the strength of its inclusive ethos and the transformative impact of its personal development programme.
Together, these outcomes reflect the dedication of students, staff, governors, families and the wider Foundation community. They also reinforce the Foundation’s commitment to providing world-class education, fostering wellbeing and inclusion, and ensuring every young person is equipped with the confidence, skills and opportunities to succeed. We congratulate both school communities on these fantastic achievements and look forward to building on this success in the years ahead.
