During October, the King Edward VI Foundation once again proudly welcomed its new Year 7 pupils with our annual Foundation Ceremonies.
So far, pupils from 10 of our 14 schools have gathered to celebrate this important milestone - being introduced to the Foundation’s rich history and the values that continue to unite us. Engaging speeches have been delivered by Headteachers, governors, and our CEO, Jodh Dhesi, who shared inspiring messages about the opportunities that lie ahead and the importance of community. We also heard from students who are nearing the end of their secondary education, reflecting on their King Edward VI Foundation journey.
Each ceremony featured incredible musical and spoken word performances by pupils from the schools. To see such talent, creativity and dedication, including from several Year 7s themselves, was astounding and highlighted the diverse skills within our Foundation.
We are looking forward to our final Foundation Ceremony for the remaining four schools in the coming weeks, and are eager to see how our new Year 7 pupils will grow and contribute to our schools in the coming years.
