The Sunday Times’s annual ParentPower schools guide was published online last Friday and in print on Sunday, providing an insight into school rankings based on the summer’s GCSE and post-16 results.
King Edward VI High School for Girls was once again named West Midlands Independent Secondary School for Academic Excellence, and was the country’s highest ranking independent school outside of London and the South East. King Edward’s School’s third-placed ranking in the regional independent school table made it the highest placed day school for boys in the region.
Three of the Foundation’s grammar schools – Camp Hill Girls, Camp Hill Boys and Five Ways – were ranked in the region’s top 10 highest performing state schools.
Jodh Dhesi, CEO of the King Edward VI Foundation, said: “We know that excellence – one of our Foundation’s core values – is measured in many more ways than just examination outcomes, and alongside celebrating several of our schools’ tremendous table-topping achievements and sending our congratulations to them, we continue to champion everything that happens across all our schools to impact and transform pupils’ lives.”
