Executive Committee and Cluster Leads

In order for us to achieve our mission, it is essential that our schools receive excellent and efficient support and guidance that is of high quality and value for money. That is why earlier this year we reorganised the Foundation’s central team, reshaping and streamlining the departments and, most importantly, increasing the focus on education.

From September and for the first time, the Foundation’s leadership will have representatives of our academies and independent schools working alongside existing specialists as part of our new Executive Committee. All of this has been achieved through existing available resources and at no additional cost to schools.

The new group consists of:

Jodh Dhesi

Chief Executive Officer

Greg Langston

Chief Finance Officer

Sarah Cunningham

Chief People & Systems Officer

Julie Waddington

Director of Education

Kirsty von Malaisé

Headmaster of the Foundation and Chief Master & Principal of King Edward's School and King Edward VI High School for Girls

Becky Elcocks

Cluster Lead (South) and Headteacher of King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy

Karen Stevens

Cluster Lead (Central) and Headteacher of King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Matt Brady

Cluster Lead (North) and Headteacher of King Edward VI Aston School

Grace Cousens

Director of Strategic Management

Ather Abbas

Director of Digital, Data and Transformation

Jo Bullock

Director of External Relations

Deb Canton

Head of Governance

Kirsty von Malaisé will be taking on the role of Headmaster of the Foundation upon the retirement of Dr Katy Ricks and will chair the Foundation Education Group of our fourteen Headteachers.

The Cluster Leads are fulfilling a new role, which is to encourage and support collaboration within groups of schools, making the most of collective resource and endeavour within the cluster itself and with the wider Academy Trust and Foundation and being a conduit between school-based staff and the Executive. Working within an educational strategy led by the Director of Education, they will also provide guidance and support for Headteachers.

The academy clusters are:

Southern Cluster Central Cluster Northern Cluster

King Edward VI Balaam Wood Academy

King Edward VI Five Ways School

King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy

King Edward VI Northfield School for Girls

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls

In the new term, Cluster Leads will be visiting schools to get to know staff better.

We are excited about how the overall new structure will be able to support you all in your schools as you work with the children and young people who are the reason why we are all here.
