Camp Hill Boys Welcomes Stand Up Education for Anti-Bullying and Anti-Discrimination Workshops

This term, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys was pleased to host Stand Up! Education Against Discrimination, who delivered two powerful and thought-provoking workshops to lower school pupils over two days.

On the first day, Year 8 students participated in an anti-bullying workshop, where they explored the impact of bullying and the importance of creating a safe, inclusive

environment for everyone. The session encouraged open conversation and empathy, while equipping students with practical strategies to recognise and challenge bullying behaviours.

The following day, Year 9 students took part in an anti-discrimination workshop with a particular focus on preventing discrimination against Jewish and Muslim communities. Delivered with sensitivity and relevance, the workshop supported pupils to better understand prejudice, reflect on its consequences, and take positive action to challenge it in their own lives and school environments.

Both sessions were facilitated by Stand Up! Education, a UK-based organisation focused on empowering young people to combat all forms of discrimination and hate. Their interactive and engaging delivery left a lasting impression on pupils and staff alike.

The school hopes to welcome Stand Up! Education back again next year and would highly recommend their workshops to others across the Foundation.
