Foundation Leaders for Education (FLEs) provide specialist support to schools in areas of identified need or priority. Schools can choose to work with one or several FLEs.
FLEs will be deployed to work in schools to offer teaching and learning support to individuals and teams under the direction of the Interim Director of Educational Development/Consultant Headteacher and the Headteacher of the schools involved.
Analysing the strengths and areas for improvement in a particular school an FLE will inform the strategy for improvement in the area of need. They will then provide support and guidance through coaching, mentoring, modelling practice and lesson observations/visits.
