Day in the Life of…

Clare Stanton, Head of Inclusive Practice at the King Edward VI Foundation Office, began this position in September 2023 and enjoys what the role supports: inclusivity across the Foundation.

Despite each day being different for Clare, a typical day involves visiting the schools to support staff with an array of activities. This may be; delivering ‘Continuing Professional Development’ sessions to staff and/parents; working with Special Educational Needs Coordinators; individual pupil work; access arrangements; delivering sessions to a group of students or communicating with external agencies.

Growing up, Clare wanted to be a vet, and even spent a long time working at  dog kennels. Clare’s love for animals has recently prompted her decision to add a new addition to the family: Marty. The puppy will be therapy trained to provide support for students and staff across the King Edward VI Schools

Clare’s loves supporting staff and pupils, visiting the wonderful, welcoming schools and overall supporting what King Edward VI Foundation is committed to ensuring: Inclusivity.
