We have an exciting opportunity for students to create a logo for the King Edward VI Foundation that represents Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. This will require careful consideration of what Equality, Diversity and Inclusion means to you and what you think it should look like in our Foundation.
This logo will be used on all internal correspondence regarding EDI and will be made into badges for our Student EDI Team Committees.
Below is some support to get you started on designing a compelling logo:
- Think about the mission and values of the King Edward VI Foundation. Look for key themes related to equality, diversity, and inclusion. (Accessibility, Caring, Collaboration)
- List keywords and concepts associated with equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Consider symbols and imagery that represent unity, diversity, and fairness. This could include diverse figures, a handshake, a tree with branches representing diversity, etc. We will be incorporating the foundation logo into your design.
- Focus on simplicity – don’t make it too confusing or complicated.
All submissions must be entered via your school's EDI Lead. Please find the name and email address of your EDI Lead below:

You should also include a brief explanation of the symbolism and how it reflects Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to you. If paper based, please take a photo or scan of your design and upload this.
Remember that the artwork should be unique, memorable, and able to convey the values of the King Edward VI Foundation at a glance.
As well as having your design ideas formed into a logo that will be used around the Foundation, first place will receive a £50 WH Smith voucher and two runners up will each receive a £25 WH Smith Voucher.
The deadline for submissions is Monday 8th January.
We look forward to seeing your amazing designs!
