Following the move from CEM to GL as our entrance test provider, we have updated the familiarisation tool (currently built on the Frog platform) so that it now includes content provided by GL. We have also updated the look and feel of the platform and aligned the practice papers with the format of our test.
As we have done for some years, we will be issuing login credentials to disadvantaged candidates who register for the test. This year, for the first time, we will also offer additional support to families who are eligible to ensure they are able to access this resource. This will include contacting parents by telephone to better understand any barriers around digital poverty or digital literacy. We will use this information to inform developments to the familiarisation offer going forward, and this will be part of the new function that the Access and Participation department will be establishing from September.
Any teachers involved in familiarisation can obtain login credentials by contacting [email protected]. Please do make use of the tool in any face-to-face familiarisation activity that you are leading and share any feedback via the above email address. We have had to act extremely quickly to prepare the tool for the new test, so your feedback will be very valuable in ensuring continuous improvement.
