Five Ways School Gets Sporty

King Edward VI Five Ways School has had a busy few weeks with lots of extracurricular sporting success.

Year 7 pupil Jack has recently had great success when he played football for Cadbury Athletic in the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League. His team won the under 12 Premier Division and Jack won trophies for Parents Player, Players Player and Managers Player.

50 primary school pupils also visited Five Ways for a football tournament. The tournament was in aid of the Opening Doors project and was led by a group of Year 10 leaders.

Keen runner Josh from Year 10 triumphed in the 400m at the Warwickshire County Championships last week. He came first with a time of 51.43.

Congratulations are also in order to; Ellie Taylor, Josh Hale, Esther Lamidi, Alex Dickson, Christian Chapajong, Riyaan Harooh, Dylan Price and Harry Irvine who have all been selected to represent South Birmingham Athletics team at Alexander Stadium next month! We wish them all the best of luck.

Finally, Year 9 pupils recently had a great time when the Royal Navy Outreach Team came to visit. The sporting activities were designed to develop their leadership and teamwork qualities. It also looked like a lot of fun!
