King Edward VI Aston Old School Building Heating:
The decision to bid for a PSDS (Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme) grant in October to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures at Aston School was decided against due to the limited time available to make a full and successful bid.
Instead, we have engaged with Caladen Consulting to survey the Old School heating system during the February half term to advise which low carbon heating technologies will offer us the best cost/benefit solution.
Energy Sparks:
Energy Sparks are sending weekly energy alerts to our school’s key stakeholders advising on their energy usage. These reports also suggest opportunities on how to reduce energy demand to reduce CO2 emissions and save money. The Finance department are supporting and encouraging the schools to review these alerts and engage with Energy Sparks services.
