The decision was made to widen the scope of installing solarPV and will now include all our AT schools (with the exception of Balaam Wood and Handsworth Wood as both schools are having new schools built under the DfE School Rebuilding Programme),
Project manager, Felton Consult, commenced roof surveying and feasibility studies to provide indicative reports with costs. Felton Consult are currently working with us to identify and appoint the installation contractors. Based on the surveying information we are considering the following installation dates:
Phase 1 (Feb-March 2024): solarPV on Aston, Five Ways and Northfield schools with flat roofs requiring minimal repair work.
Phase 2 (August 31st 2024 completion): solarPV to the remainder of the schools with flat roofs that may require replacement or thermal upgrade.
