The Foundation is conducting a Digital and Technology Standards survey to assess how its schools align with the DfE's Digital and Technology Standards for school and colleges.
The timeline below sets out key dates in relation to the survey.

- 13 January 2023: Survey launched across schools
- 23 January 2023: Deadline for submissions
- 24 January 2023: Responses analysed
- Mid to late February 2023: Results will be available for review by Heads and the Technical Leads.
What's Next?
The results of the survey will contribute to the overall planning of projects of the Digital Unification Programme, one of which is adopting the single central enterprise platform (SCEP) - Microsoft.

This audit links to ongoing digital unification work being conducted across the entire organisation, where it has become clear that individual schools are being exceptionally creative in their solutions to extend the life of IT. This is to be commended and is frequently required due to budgetary constraints.
However, where it continues over an extended period of time this can lead to failures that significantly impact the schools' ability to function and also increase the risk profile in respect to cybersecurity.
We are aiming to gather information about the general state of digital and technology across the Foundation so that the areas requiring upgrades can be identified and inform financial discussions by leaders at appropriate levels.
