People’s wellbeing and growth is at the centre of all we do, and we take seriously our environmental responsibilities.

We make a positive contribution to individuals and society.

Below are some recent examples of how the Foundation cares about its staff, students, communities and environment:

King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy have recently completed a project to refurbish and extend its existing dining room. The area has been equipped with Audio Visual equipment to enable it to be utilised for other activities and events (such as open evenings and career fayres) when it is not being used as a dining facility. The extension has also meant that the lecture hall/theatre, which was previously used for overspill during dining times, has reverted to its intended use.

The school is committed to operating in a sustainable manner, with a target to reduce both its carbon footprint and reliance on fossil fuels. As a result, sustainable technologies were incorporated into the project, including the installation of energy efficient LED lighting with smart controls and photovoltaic panels (solar PV).

“This project has been the result of a collaborative approach to working involving King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy, DSA Consultants and Speller Metcalfe to deliver a wonderful dining hall extension that meets the needs of the school and will benefit students and staff for years to come. Well done to all those involved in the project!”
