Julie is an experienced advanced skills geography teacher, school leader and school improvement professional with over 20 years experience in the sector.

Prior to Joining the Foundation, Julie worked in a variety of leadership and development roles including Director of School Improvement and National Strategies Advisor, working with a wide range of schools predominantly located in the West Midlands.

Key priorities for Julie and her team are to embed the education strategy, develop a full suite of professional learning opportunities for teachers and leaders and support colleagues in every context to provide outstanding education in each of our schools.

As a passionate advocate for equality, diversity and Inclusion, Julie is a published contributing writer for ED&I and  advised on an ED&I programme for The Chartered College of Teaching. Julie is also a governor at two 14-19 schools, a Chartered College Fellow, member of BERA and currently working towards a masters level qualification in Educational Leadership.
