Deb started her career in law and having worked in Family, Employment and Child Protection Law she chose to specialise in Criminal Defence Law.
In 2006 Deb became the Head of the Crown Court Department of a prominent Black Country law firm where she defended some high profile cases across the West Midlands.
In 2017 after over 20 years in law, Deb decided to take on a fresh challenge and joined the Foundation Governance Team at the time the Academy Trust was being established. Since then, she has been involved in the process of bringing new schools into the Academy Trust, aligning their Governance and processes. She has also been involved in a lengthy review of the Foundation Governance.
In 2022 she became the Governance Manager at a time when a new Governance structure was being implemented. She continues to work to develop strong governance across all of our schools and supporting our 160+ Governors.
