Grace leads the Access and Participation department at the Foundation. This department incorporates the team that brings new academies into the Academy Trust (thereby enabling more children to benefit from a King Edward VI education), together with the team that designs and delivers the selective admissions procedures for our grammar schools (ensuring fair access), and a new team focused on delivering high quality interventions and activities which enable more children to participate in our educational provision in meaningful ways.
Grace joined the Foundation in 2017 after working for seven years at the Future Leaders Trust (now Ambition Institute), where she was Associate Director of Personalised Development. During her time there she led the delivery of coaching, mentoring and career support packages for school leaders working in disadvantaged contexts. She also developed and launched the organisation’s membership network and online collaboration platform.
With fourteen years’ experience in the education sector working primarily with schools in the Midlands, including time spent as a school governor, Grace is passionate about the role of education in transforming lives. She holds a Masters’ Degree from the University of Birmingham and is working towards becoming CIPD qualified.
